Visitor

We had a visitor to the garden this morning, an unidentified bird of prey. Perched in very clear view in the big tree in the back yard, it looked as though it might stay for a while, but by the time I rushed into the house, changed the lens on my camera for the big glass, and returned...it was gone. I had to make do with our regular resident, one of a pair of Eurasian collared doves that we see quite often. A little different from the introduced spotted dove we see in the north of the North Island, NZ.
