Living in a Box

... But not for much longer. This young Nuthatch looks nearly ready for fledging. I've been checking nest boxes today. To be honest, I was surprised this box was still occupied as the Nuthatches have been in occupation since my first monitoring visit. I only saw one box occupied by Pied Flycatchers, but the omens were good as I saw both male and female and food was being brought in suggesting a lot has happening since my last visit.
