Wall Mining Bee gets its breakfast

This rare bee Osmia parietina is designed to gather pollen from Bird's-foot Trefoil - and nothing else!   It bends its little back legs around to open the flower up so it can reach in to get at the pollen.  Only a few sites in the country, of which Gait Barrows NNR is one of the most northerly.
