Lindisfarne

After a rainy morning, the weather brightened up and we headed off to Lindisfarne, also known as The Holy Island due to its history of sainty people such as Cuthbert.
Having driven across the causeway, we walked around the priory (seen in the blip) before walking over to Lindisfarne Castle which you can see in the distance right in the middle of the photo.
Climbed up to the top of the castle which gave great views of the village and the rest of the island.
A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Then we went to Berwick-upon-Tweed where we sat in a pub and played two games of Scrabble.
I lost both :(
