Landing gear out......

Took a trip to Monaco to see the sun go down but was too easily distracted by whatever these odd-looking things are and the aircraft coming in to land.  They're obviously something to do with the airport and are surrounded by a large, imposing barbed wire fence, remarkably similar to the stereotypical surrounds of a prison! I figure they don't want people going in and tampering with them.  It was interesting to see someone's garden trailer in there with them though - a safe place for storage I guess.
