Fire Window

Today we ventured into Manchester to see Mark Knopfler in Concert (a Christmas present for Mr. MD). It rained and never stopped so, before we went into the concert, we had a few quiet moments in Manchester Cathedral.
This is the Regimental Chapel & Fire Window
.
This is now the Chapel of the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment. It also commemorates the former Manchester Regiment and King's Regiment which, after amalgamation, became the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment in 2006.
At the far end of the chapel the spectacular Fire Window marks where a German bomb fell during the Manchester Blitz in 1940, causing considerable damage.
