Wednesday: Meeting Margaret

Today was definitely a career highlight. Margaret Atwood was recently appointed a Companion of Honour and my colleague in Toronto held a reception to mark the event.

Our boss in Ottawa decided to combine it with one of our regular management meetings so we were able to attend tonight. I flew in from Vancouver today. From left to right we have my colleague in Calgary, Caroline, Chloe, who works in Montreal, the legendary Margaret Atwood, and yours truly.

She was absolutely delightful. Very charming and funny. Other literary guests included Michael Ondaatje, Adam Foulds and Ann-Marie MacDonakd. It was a great night, as you can imagine.
