Don't pull that face!

When you snatch a day like yesterday between grimness and wild winds, you can only feel very lucky indeed.

We won't talk much about our house alarm that started beeping low battery at bedtime last night.  I pinned a cushion over the top of the unit with a pair of ladders and stuffed pillows around the ladders, arranged for it to be replaced today and headed off to bed.  Apparently, its 15 years have done well for an expected battery life of 4-5! It's fixed and my world has stopped beeping.
