Popping poppy

I bet by tomorrow this poppy bud will have popped open. Called at a nearby nursery to buy a few bedding plants now that the daffs have died back sufficiently to be tied down. Went for begonias this time as they seem to tolerate most weather conditions and aren’t too susceptible to slugs. Fingers crossed.
