Cherimoya

I saw one of these at the Food Co-op yesterday and had no idea what it was. I asked one of the employees and was told it was a Chirimoya. He also said it was incredibly delicious and well worth the price of $12.99/lb. I must have looked a bit skeptical because he assured me I could get a refund if I wasn't satisfied.

I found rave reviews on Wikipedia -- Some characterize the fruit flavor as a blend of banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry. I tasted three of those flavors and was very impressed. Cynthia was not as enthusiastic and gave me half of her share.
