Winter in Canada - a different point of view.

This is one way of looking at winter in Canada. It's a four wheel drive pickup truck with snow tires. The engine heater is plugged in to ensure it will start on a cold day. A light in the bumper has been broken, probably by a flying stone from the sand and gravel (Politely called "winter abrasive" because it sounds better than rocks even though the effect on vehicles is not one of a mild abrasive) spread on the road to improve traction. With a bit of luck perhaps the windshield will not have to be cleared of snow or frost.

This is the kind of photo people seldom take but if we take only "nice" photos we are not being honest about what our lives are truly like. Some may view this as a very negative outlook but I believe harsh weather conditions give us a greater appreciation of better weather. Spring would not be nearly as exciting if not preceded by winter.
