TSS Earnslaw - 100 years on

Launched in 1912 the steamship TSS Earnslaw is still going strong on Lake Wakatipu.
Built in Dunedin dismantled and transported by rail to kingston on the southern tip of the lake and then reassembled and launched on the lake, now running regular pleasure cruises.

I like the regular coming and going of the Earnslaw it's quite re-assuring that the boat always sails and come back at the same time, like the InterIslander at Picton. As I type I'm waiting for her to return from the 8pm sailing...

The thing I like about this shot is it could have been 100 years ago...
