Remarkables Christmas

Christmas Day - glorious sunshine and high temperatures. We made a reasonably early start and climbed Ben Lomond (about 1700m). The path was much more like a Lake District path - some erosion, lots of loose rocks and scree. The views were stupendous in all directions - check out Houblon's blip for today, which looks the other way from mine.

I chose this view of the Remarkables, as it would be rude to stay in Queenstown and not blip them. Plus they have provided us with a lot of amusement - just insert the word remarkable into sentences and you'll see what I mean! And, of course, they looked remarkable..

Happy Christmas! Sorry this blip is late - we've been rebelling at the lack of free internet where we're staying - and we were a bit too disorganised to go into town and get some free wi-if there
