"No, it's not a Painting"

It's the flower of a Leek plant - (which has had a bit of work done to it) - for those who buy Leeks and don't know what the flower looks like, well here it is..sort of...

It's a member of the Onion family - and grows well where we live - like most vegetables and fruit. The Leek is one of our favorites as we use it to make Leek and Potato soup with bacon and all that.. A good old standby soup for winter, especially with some cream addded and chicken cubes, lots, these days - never used as many in the old days, I don't know what they've done to the cubes but one has to use twice as many, have you noticed?
(They're more flavorsome than the liquid stock.)
