Punk rock ist nicht tot!

After football, My Little Brother Just Discovered Rock’n’Roll. There’s a noise in his head and he’s out of control. Yes, it was off to Bedford and the Esquires music venue to see Art Brut. Not long since we saw them in Oxford but, if they are this close, it would be rude not to make the effort.

The support band were fronted by a man who took himself very seriously indeed. Lots of rock god poses and holding one pointing arm aloft.

Then Art Brut blasted us all away. They really rock nowadays. And the long, talky bits are really long and talky.

There was a fake encore (band who can’t be bothered to leave the stage just crouch down) and, at the end, a really long version of Modern Art Makes Me Want to Rock Out.
