Sunny Saturday

Well, it was mostly sunny. A few storm clouds threatened on and off but it remained dry. We bought an established Wisteria this morning. I had seen it at the nursery during the week and had been thinking it over. I took Hubby with me and we decided to buy this one rather than the small ones which were half the price but a quarter the size. It is a few years old and has been grown as a standard. It looks lovely in front of the garage as it is in full bloom, apart from the many flowers lost in transport and planting. As it grows over the garage wall we can prune its current shape a little to integrate it into the espalier form. I will blip it tomorrow. Today's blip is a bumblebee on a chive flower - please look 'large'. The sun has brought out the bumblebees and honey bees - the Wisteria had only been standing there a minute before the bumblebees were drawn to its scent.
