Camels

Luckily, there's not much necessity for historical accuracy in re-telling the Christmas story. On the other hand maybe there WERE 6 camels at the nativity, as depicted in this crib.

My crib is one which I have accumulated over the years - the plaque at the back is from wood from an olive grove in Bethlehem, and the other bits were variously inherited, donated, or found in junk shops. That's why there are no shepherds, one king, one king's outrider on a donkey, two Josephs (??!!), 6 camels and various other animals.

Late edit - P has just pointed out that there are in fact SEVEN camels.
