The Newport Nobby

The Wolverton to Newport Pagnell railway was closed in 1963. The track has gone but a cycle path (affectionately known as The Newport Nobby) replaces it. I’ve cycled up and down the top part of the Nobby many times but I’ve not often cycled all the way down to Newport Pagnell. Since we’ve moved we’ve started to cycle the whole line a lot more often.

Just before the end of the line is the last remaining signal. Here it is with Igor at the bottom of it.
