Lost and found

The Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary - my favourite butterfly. The Small Pearl vies with the Grayling as the rarest butterfly in Sussex. Like the Grayling it is only found at one location. Having been extinct - locally and regionally -since 2013,  it was re-introduced at this one site three years ago and I've been lucky enough to see some in each year. I also saw my first Meadow Browns of the year this morning, bringing my species count to 26 for the year so far.
