Boxing day on the beach

Middle offspring got a metal detector for Christmas and he wanted to try it out, so we went to Aberdour beach (silversands) for him to wander about with it.

Lots of junk buried in the sand, mostly beer or fizzy drink cans, but he was happy to be finding them.

We weren't the only parents taking their kids there to metal-detect, but his was the only one actually finding anything. Must be because the advice we got about buying a proper one, rather than a (very, in comparison) cheap one aimed at kids, was correct.

He enjoyed himself, but I was knackered very quickly. Happy to be actually able to do something instead of fading out, today.
