Not a Whoop!

Bit of a last ditch attempt to add to my bird blip total. No 147 was proving elusive. There was a report yesterday of a single whooper swan at one of the best birding sites locally, so I decided to venture out there. I was perfectly prepared for disappointment - lots of people out and about walking dogs. What I was NOT prepared for was, on leaving the site, I updated the bird sightings page which told me that a flock of 44 Whoopers had flown overhead during the time I was there. Don't deserve to meet my challenge if I can't manage to spot that number of very large birds over my head.
