Quendale Beach

After the rather disappointing weather yesterday, it was good to see clear blue skies this morning.  Walking across Quendale Beach and onto Garths Ness in search of yellow flag irises (a few found, they should look really spectacular in a couple of weeks).

This being Shetland in June, the clouds built up again during the afternoon - it might be light until about 23:00 (sun sets today at 22:14), but I'm not betting on a dramatic sunset!
