Shadow land

A early morning walk through Oak woodland is marvellous and this morning it was bright enough to cast some interesting shadows. In this example the tree branch shadows above seem to create a bird seen on this large boulder.

As it was very windy the opportunity to see and hear many birds  was reduced but inside the woodland it was Willow Warblers galore - I am still searching for Wood Warbler and this woodland is a possibilty.

Many Blackcaps singing with Robins and Chaffinches. A few too many Grey Squirrels destroying the trees and probably eating eggs and young birds as well ?
