Full Day

The sun rose at 4.09, and was streaming in my window calling me to get up. I resisted until 7.30. The wind picked up as the day progressed, to a surprising strength.

I picked our visitors up at 10am and after a morning snack we headed to St Magnus’ Cathedral. What a treat. Off we headed to the Brough of Birsay where the wind made for a bracing walk where we had to hold on tight to the little one. We had a close look at some guillemots and razorbills at their nest.

Thanks to darap we visited the farm museum at Kirbuster and the still operating Barony Mill. A stroll through Stromness was lovely but we may have to return to see the gallery.

A few extras.
