Dunselma

Dunselma Castle at Strone isn’t really a castle - it is a lodge built in 1886 in the Scots Baronial style for the Coates family from Paisley to use as a base for their sailing on the Clyde.

This glimpse of it - making it look almost like something out of a fairy tale - came into view this afternoon as I was leaving a visit to the inspirational wee charity Cathleen’s Cabin in the Hunter’s Quay Holiday Village on the other side of the Holy Loch .
