Woody Woodpecker

This Am I was trying to leave early in order to get labs done before going to the clinic.The cat woke us up at 5:30 whining- he wanted breakfast. He was unceremoniously  shut out in the hallway while we tried to get back to sleep. Having just accomplished that for a short while a loud , irregular tapping noise woke us up again. Glenn ( correctly ) surmised it was a woodpecker, threw on some clothes and blearily went off to chase it away from the siding , since he ( incorrectly) assumed that was it's target. As it turned out , it was banging on the windows and mirrors of the cars in the driveway. It eventually flew off.
 Tonight I was plugging in the car and we heard a ticking noise. It turned out to be this goofy bird tapping on my neighbor's upstairs window. I can only think he saw the other bird and was after it....
