Sniff test

Martin and I had a date day starting with breakfast at one of our favourite cafes then a day of looking at junk shops. This piece is dated 1934 made by Ebenezer Gomme.

I like the Arts and Crafts/Art Deco style very much so I'm a happy bunny getting it for a substantial discount on condition I don't paint it! I'm not a fan of shabby chic so I was able to promise I wouldn't ruin it that way.

The dogs have been sulking about the weather today. From the looks they have been giving us it would appear to be our fault it's rained all day.
