Snow in summer - Hospice Flower Bed

We had quite a trip round the locality last Monday.  First stop was the local library with bags of almost new children’s books from our family in Horsforth (one’s that their mum thinks they have grown out of).  From there we went on to the hospice so Ann could check on her appointment for the lymphodema clinic (it’s been closed while they carry out alterations) but all seems to be on track for next Monday.  Then onto Debby Dale to visit the binocular shop to find out whether I could get my Zeiz binoculars repaired (they stopped focusing in Shetland).  Fortunately he managed to do that for me himself with the aid of a very fine screwdriver, so I indulged in a second lighter weight pair that will allow me to focus closer on butterflies and insects.

After all that we headed back to Cawthorne and the garden centre for compost, followed by lunch at Cannon Hall.  A beautiful morning to be out, there is some fantastic scenery around us and this is such a lovely time of year.

Evening at Positive Image CC where members shared images and it was great to see the range of subjects that interested people and we learnt about a relatively cheap ring light for model/ still life shoots.  My first opportunity to show a few images from Shetland.
