Padstow Harbour.

Certainly better weather today than yesterday, although we did get caught in a shower half way through our dog walk. Lovely cliff top walk to Daymer beach.

We headed off to Padstow today. To get to Padstow from where we are we need to take a little taxi ferry across the River Camel estuary, easy unless you cross at low tide as we did today. Had to walk about half a mile down the beach to get on the ferry - Note to self 'Only cross at high tide'.

Had fabulous fish and chips at Rick Stein's, the queueing was worth it, they were delicious. Then an ice cream while sat by the harbour, had to add the extra of a mean looking Seagull eyeing up my cone .... No chance mate! I don't share my Cornish ice cream with anyone.

While waiting for the return ferry we just got to the front of the queue when they halted and we had to wait for the ferry to return. So - We are at the front on the slipway with a massive queue behind us, the tide is coming in quite fast,  a very large river cruiser goes past, we all tried in vain to leap out of the way of the approaching slipstream. There was no way we could avoid the oncoming tsunami! Went home with very wet feet and trousers. I had visions of the cruiser pilot chuckling to himself as he knew full well the effect his boat would have on us 'tourists'.
