Ramblings from Zambia....

Himba woman...

So today we drove from Etosha to Swakopmund.  On the way we met three different tribal groupings, the Herero, the Damara and the Himba. They were all selling their ware to make some money for their families!  I enjoyed talking with them - they live in a harsh desert with little or no water and extreme heat.  It is a very tough life and I am grateful to have been able to learn some more about their cultures.

Tonight we are in Swakopmund where it is usually foggy but today we had sunshine on arrival which was lovely and meant we could have a walk along the sea front!

Tomorrow we head to the Namib desert for a couple of days!
