Blipping Forty

Appleby horse Fair

Today I met up with blip pal JanetH at Appleby Horse Fair.  It's an event which I had not been to before but at this time of year often see the travellers heading in an easterly direction and resting their horses close to Corbridge.  I was pleased to benefit from Janet's knowledge of the event having attended previously.  There was so much to see and we knew that rain was forecast for early afternoon and so wanted to take in as much as possible before the weather closed in.  It was a brilliant day with so much to see and photograph, first at the river and then further up the hill where the horses raced up and down the road, some at an alarming speed!  It certainly was a challenge and needless to say the delete button was very necessary when sifting through my shots tonight.  I had a great day however and many thanks to John Gravett for providing hot drinks and parking :-).  It was great to catch up!
