Success!

A celebratory pint at the end of the Great North Swim.
Thankfully the weather was a vast improvement on yesterday's forecast and other than the dip in the lake we've managed to stay pretty dry. 

An easy early drive up, brunch, then a walk down to Brockhole from Windermere still leaving us plenty of time to watch a few waves, catch up with a couple of friends who were swimming earlier, and for a brief blip meet with the lovely Beewriter who I managed to spot in the sea of neoprene and pink hats! (Extra)

The water temperature didn't feel too bad, it was around 14 degrees, but it was rather choppy making breathing a little tricky at times. Oh and my legs weren't very coordinated when I tried to walk out the lake.
