windy day..

..was quite enjoyable until there was a loud crash and we discovered that 2 of the windows had slammed shut and shattered. spent the next hour carefully picking glass pieces, splinters off the table, floor, computer, plants & vacuuming the pulverized bits off everything else - inside and outside.  have the feeling it will be our responsibility because we had the windows open.  have never had anything like that happen before.  also discovered that something came by and bit the flower head off of one of the plants before the flowers could open.  that could explain all the barfing one cat has been doing..  sigh - was looking forward to that one too.
