A Suffolk Eye

Pastime and good company

Pastime and good company
I love and shall until I die

As I lolled on the kitchen sofa (my sister-in-law having imported a sofa into her kitchen last year for lolling purposes) you could see everyone else chatting and eating, and contemplating a game involving whistles, surrounded by the debris of the meal and all reflected in dark of the glass roof above us. O, and my feet, clearly lolling.

We were all upside down, because it's an Alice-in-Wonderland Topsy Turvey mirror world in the kitchen ceiling, but I turned it the right way round because it looks better.

(Henry VIII was responsible for the lines I quoted at the beginning, by the way. Written in one of his jollier moments)
