St Enodoc's Church.

Our last day here. We headed off along our usual coastal walk, it was incredibly busy, I suppose a Sunday, and a beautiful morning brings extra to the coast. We seemed to get stopped more than usual by people asking about our dogs. After 48 years of owning Beardies I am well used to this.

We decided to visit St Enodoc's church. It was well worth the visit. It is situated in the sand dunes and in the middle of a golf course. The church has a long history and is very quaint. It was built in the twelfth century. During the eighteenth century it was almost covered by the sand dunes.

In the church yard is the grave of Sir John Betjeman.

The picture shows it from the back as I wanted to include the unusual setting, the Camel estuary to one side, a golf course surrounding it and the way it's buried into the sand.

We headed back and went for a beer and Cornish pasty. Well it had to be done!

The extra is it from the coastal path.
