When in Carterton.........!

Carterton is the small town right next to RAF Brize Norton. We visited Julia today, in her new home, to see her and the girls and do a few little jobs.
Fixed the rocking chair that was knocking, it was just the allen bolt joints needed tightening but did all the other bolts while I was at it. A couple of other jobs but the biggest one was the lawn at the back. It had been left to get very long so when the maintenance people cut it down there is a lot of dead grass. We all had a go at raking it to get as much of the dead out as we could (Marlane, Daniel and I, even Dhylan had a go). We finished up with five black bin bags of dead grass and moss, another one of cuttings from a couple of bushes in the garden.
I then mowed the pitiful lawn, mostly to pick up loose stuff, with the electric mower that Marlane had bought from 'Facebook Marketplace'. It works fine but looked tatty so over the past couple of days it had a clean, polish, and I removed the blade to level and sharpen with my favourite tool the angle grinder. Also replaced the faulty bolts (with turning handles) and put normal bolts in with a nut on the inside.
Next time we go I'll take a box of grass seed to fill in the gaps and dead bits. Should be getting a lot of rain tonight and tomorrow so hopefully that will give it a kickstart.

And the Blip? It's a RAF C17, Globemaster, which appeared to be doing circuits and bumps - On a Sunday! Can't go to Carterton and not take a shot of an aircraft!
