We have blipped from this spot above Crummock fairly frequently. As far as we know it has always been open access but now the National Trust have bought it, explained that it was a popular viewpoint of the Victorians and that Turner painted it
They are going to improve the access to it, by which I think they mean the paths.
Consisting that the car park is usually almost full even on winter weekdays....
