Liberation Monument, St Peter Port

This monument was errected on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey after the Second World War, in 1995. It is made of 50 segments of granite. In warm dry weather lots of people sit here and eat their lunch or read a book. Everybody who parks in the North Beach carpark walks past here to go into town.
We went to town this morning and bought a few bargains in the Next sale.
