If you can't beat them...

Great Tit Fledgling.

A busy day so blipping would be restricted.  As is my habit I looked round for some things to shoot early in the day.  This time of year fledglings seem to pop up everywhere.

So on looking out of the window I spotted a pair of Great Tits (Parus major) feeding 4 youngster who were just getting to grips with using the feeders.  So the action was split between fluttering as they tried to land on the feeders and sitting on a twig begging for food.

I liked this shot as it shows a little of how the plumage of an adult suffers round the head in the constant activity of finding food and pushing it into numerous little gaping beaks.
