Contaminated area

Until quite recently people could be seen in NBC suits, decontaminating the site. This has now been completed, they say successfully, and the site is to be redeveloped for housing. They say the decontamination was successful: I remember what was there & may still be there. I remember the damp hissing as the victims tried to scream through what was left of their mouths, dying but not dying. I shall not be buying a flat in the new development.

In the background can be made out the silos and support buildings, purportedly empty. I believe the weaponisation programme is now nearly complete, and that these weapons were designed to be used, and will be used. Perhaps there will be a preemptive strike before they are complete: will they dare to reduce Edinburgh to radioactive rubble to remove the threat? Perhaps.
