Today, apart from a few showers, it has been mostly sunny and a change from the weather we experienced last year on this day when we were walking through snow and got soaked during a blizzard while we were on a chairlift.  Apparently the weather was unusually cold but today at the same time on the summit it was 10c (50F) and the next two days it is forecast to be 19c (66F)  This little setup is a reminder of that enjoyable but very cold day in Whistler in Canada.  The bald eagle magnet beside the rock reminds me of Canada and North America and the stone figure-like Inuksuk (inunnguak) is a venerated Inuit symbol which traditionally helped for communication or navigation and has been adopted as an unofficial symbol of Canada.  The Inuksuk  was used to symbolise the 2010 winter Olympic Games at Whistler.
