Orthanc?

I've looked to Blip this block of flats before but the trees were in the way. Now you can see through the branches.

When I moved back to Tamworth as a teacher I was given a flat in this block. This was when the block was brand new. Then there was no double glazing, no central heating and security doors.

It was a poor place to live, despite the splendid view because:
noisy neighbours
carrying my bike up the stairs when the lift broke
no pets

Still it was a good stop gap and gave me a chance to build up my furniture etc..

We used to call it Orthanc as it stands high up and is visible from a long way away rather like Orthanc in Lord of the Rings.
