The George In at Norton St Philip

We took advantage of a break in the rain to explore the nearby village of Norton St Philip. The George Inn is one of the oldest in the country and has been serving ale continously for over 700 years. It's a wonderful building, with narrow passageways low doors and staircases - very picturesque but not easy to photograph!

The landlord of the Fleur de Lis, opposite, was much friendlier - I know which pub we'll visit next time we stop in the village.
