A walk around Musbury Castle

I was out with the local walking group today.  The weather wasn't looking good but I had my waterproof gear.  Surprisingly there were 10 of us and by the time we had walked up the top of the hill fort also known as Musbury Castle and wandered along the top the rain started to ease off.  We had views looking out to sea of the cliffs around Beer and the Axe river valley.  The towns of Seaton, Colyford and Colyton were visible and by the end of the hill Axminster came into view.  As the weather had improved we opted for the full version of the walk with further panoramic views.  We ended up walking past various farms one that had recently held a festival of some kind and another one with a large number of horses including one with an  impressive mane, see extra.

A good walk in variable weather that ended up with lunch in the local pub, so a good day out.
