Heron amid the Rushes!

34 mph gale this morning, but I did manage a trip to Montrose Basin Nature Reserve and took shelter in the Bank of Scotland Hide.  There were about five Herons amongst the rushes but only one was willing to pop his head up for a blip!  I went up to the Observation Room and watched the Rabbit and Peasant feeding  -  I noticed a Ranger had put a brick in the feed tray  -  a sensible thing to do, otherwise it would've  been blown away in the gale.  Rabbit and Pheasant kept their distance from one another as you can see from my extra  -  took a couple of close-ups though:)  When I came home I found the Robin sitting waiting for me to fill the garden  feed trays.
