Rockhopper Penguin Chick

Making use of our membership for Edinburgh Zoo L and I enjoyed a morning of wildlife watching. I love the penguins and could spend ages just watching the soldier-like King Penguins, the speedy Gentoos and the Rockhoppers who tend to keep away from the public.

I wish there was a video facility on Blip .... this rather portly Rockhopper chick was standing on the rock (snoozing I suspect) and then every so slowly it toppled over and was quite content to lie just where it landed.

The rain started, quite heavily, around lunchtime so after a cuppa and a sandwich we headed for home.
