Oasis in a City

Our last visit to "The Festival in a Factory". This time it was Tom Holland who gave us an account of the unsung heroine Aethelflaed,, eldest daughter of Alfred the Great, and Ben Macintyre who gave a thrilling account of KGB double agent Oleg Gordievsky. His latest book The Spy and the Traitor tells the complete story.

Both were excellent storytellers of two fascinating characters in history.
