Spalding Gentlemen's Club

Today we visited this museum in Spalding founded in 1710 by Maurice Johnson a local lawyer. It is the oldest provincial learned society in Britain and the collection of books and artifacts is the second oldest in the country after Oxford's Ashmolean Museum. It is an extraordinary place stuffed with interesting objects. I am pleased to report that women can now join the club!
