Bio-Diversity

In case you missed me mentioning it before:

In January, Bavaria held a petition on a specific 10-page plan to drastically improve conditions for Bio-Diversity, much of it concerning the work methods of farmers. It was the most successful ever & automatically triggered the State government having to call a referendum or, as then happened, they have accepted it lock, stock & barrel with some tweaking supported by the petition's authors.

The huge success of the Green Party in the October 2018 State elections had shown the ruling (since WWII) conservative party that they needed to take the green issues seriously & luckily for them they did by accepting the petition. The recent European Elections confirmed the trend but Bavaria's conservatives fared much better than the rest of Germany conservatives. And now in the national polls, the Green Party have for the first time ever appeared as the strongest party and would form the new German government if there was a General Election.

Our vet came by today to have a look at Rosie - sadly the receptionist who took the call hadn't passed on the message to one of the team of vets who came out. We needed an x-ray & that was about the only thing she didn't have in the van.packed with pills & potions.

Good to see that the vet is well prepared for the diverse future but clearly doesn't believe the dinosaur will be back soon.
