Bark patterns

Linda and I went for a walk in Dreghorn Wood this afternoon. Many of the paths are under water (or thick mud!). I like the pattern made by the bark on this very tall tree. I think it's a red cedar.

I'm full of the cold, and so off to bed early with a cup of tea, a hot water bottle and The Redeemer by John Nesbo. Hope to catch up with everyone tomorrow.
